SVG Sevilla Verkehrsbetrieb is an own personal research I have been working on since 2006 for my master thesis in Architecture (2009). As there is almost no efficient coordination in the different public transport systems that operate in Seville (without corporate identity, common plans, zones, prices, card system, schedules…) I decided to adapt the mobility layout of the marvelous city of Berlin, where I was studing, to the future mobility plans of Seville, Spain, where I grew up.
Readapting the model (and the graphism, and the name) I experienced in Berlin, which public transport company´s name is BVG (Berliner Verkehrsbetrieb), these graphic documents are part of the result of a urban research that is stil ongoing.
The first diagram shows the current state of mobility in Seville: what have been done until now and what is under construction/ planning.
The second diagram represent the infrastructure scheduled for the next years by the local, regional and national administration.
The third diagram is a science-fiction scenario based in the mobility layout of Berlin. A personal proposal, that upgrade the current scheduled model with small smart modifications to create an efficient public railway network in the metropolitan area of Seville.
Es lebe Sevilla!
